how severe is it? at most, it'll take you 5-7days.Bedtime is at 5, and I rise at 1pm. I feel like one of the F1 drivers preparing for the night grand prix.

the Bear SG

cut the CEO pay?

perish the thought! how can they afford their 4th ferrari like that?

SBS2601D SG

bus freaks should be tortured too

If you could recall a SB conversation, where one of those cuckoos said I was trolling, he mentioned it was a fight "over people".

Now why the heck would I do that?

I thought only av does that?

In other news, the Auditor-General has whacked quite a few ministries and government agencies for poor spending habits.

The MDA, MOE, and some other agencies were named.... here's a CNA article on this: Linkie

Unrefunded TV and radio license money? Sheesh.

But what was disturbing was the recommendation to hire school cleaners that are priced below market rate...someone's granny is going to suffer or lose her job to a mainland Chinese.

hisoka SG

Thing is...I dont think the drivers follow such a scheme. Heard they only have 1 day off a week.

Then again, you're probably right on the point on the pay structure and darn right about the ceo's pay.

there's a reason why OT on public holidays normally pay more and people who do shift work are normally paid more *shrugs*

anyhow, doubt they'll do anything about it.

you mean they aren't already mainland chinese or bangala?

that's the problem when you do "bestsourcing" of course these things aren't factored in as you cannot justify them well.

udontknowme SG

&*#$^ lah..

"best sourcing" the bunch of drivers = retiring the whole lot of drivers = now we have to source our own transport... even when we have vans sitting in the garage...

I mean that there are going to be even more of them...and they'll even start running the shops at Changi Airport. In Amsterdam there were already Indians and Arabs behind the counters at Schiphol.

they never do consider thing thoroughly. reminds me of transport claims. apparently taking bus/ mrt is fine even if it takes 1 hour longer

elindra SG

*sobs* the laksa standard dropped

I recall seeing indians at the money changer at changi. not sure if they are local though.

we'll always have this problem of foreigners taking over the jobs of locals due to lower cost. But on the other hand, not letting them in at all will only make the locals get lazy and more expensive. quotas might be good, but how much?

udontknowme SG

how about this: i go city hall now to eat nice food, you come to my place and work!! =D

SBS2601D SG

"Below market norms?"

What is this supposed to mean?

Doesn't it hold that govt agencies are usually the ones that take the lead?

hisoka SG
